Dr. Ryan Abraham – Family Practitioner 

Dr. Abraham began his journey towards family care at Queen’s University in Canada, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Life Science) degree. He then studied at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MB, BCh, BAO), finally earning his post-graduate residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine, the oldest and largest graduate medical education (GME) programme in the United States. 

He is licensed with the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago, the American Board of Family Medicine, and the Board of Medical Examiners in the US state of Arizona, and holds active membership in the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Practice.

In addition, Dr. Abraham is a certified medical examiner with the UK’s Offshore Energies (OEUK), and the regional medical examiner for the US’ Federal Aviation Administration, Canada’s Civil Aviation Administration, the Civil Aviation Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, and the Maritime Services Division of the Ministry of Transport of Trinidad and Tobago. He is also the company physician for many local corporate entities, particularly in the energy and insurance sectors, and acts as post-medical advisor for various embassies and high commissions. 

Dr. Danielle Josa – General Practitioner 

Dr. Josa is an experienced medical professional who has practiced as a GP Locum in adult and paediatric Accident and Emergency, as well as General Paediatrics and Neonatology, in both the United Kingdom and Trinidad and Tobago. She has also worked as a clinical research physician. 

During her vocational training, she has had opportunities to work in an array of disciplines related to general practice, including maternity, health care of the elderly, ophthalmology and psychiatry, in both health centre and hospital settings where she honed her patient management skills and actively participated in well-structured disease prevention and health promotion programmes.

Having graduated from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Surgery; Bachelor of Medicine (MB BS) with Honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she went on to get an MBA from the University of Exeter in 2005, following which she became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2012. She is also a member of the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago and the General Medical Council. 

Passionate about education, Dr. Josa regularly immerses herself in continuing professional development courses and has also had teaching experience, including time spent as an honorary fellow in Clinical Research/Pharmacology at the University of Plymouth in the UK. She is an avid reader and runner, and loves spending time with her three children.

Tifini Abraham – Accounts Manager

Tifini attended Florida’s Webber International University on a tennis scholarship and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 

Tourism Management. Before taking up the post of Serpentine Road Family Care’s Office and Accounts Manager in 2005, most of her travel industry-based work experience — at travel agencies, with airlines and in the shipping and freight forwarding sector — was focused on customer service and sales. Tifini is married to Dr. Ryan Abraham, with whom she has three children, so much of her free time is spent with her family. She remains active in many sports, including her first love, tennis.  

Christine Davis – Office Manager

Christine began her career in the field of administration and accounting, where she immediately took to organisational tasks, including office procedures and logistics. These skills naturally led her to complete a Business Management degree at the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAAT), which complemented her keen interest in human resource management and customer service, both of which are seamlessly integrated in a well-functioning office. 

With more than 20 years’ experience as an office manager across a wide range of industries, including aviation, energy, education and industrial relations, Christine’s approachable personality and positive attitude have helped her build strong working relationships. She continuously looks for ways to improve efficiency while making our work environment more enjoyable. An avid reader, travel and Carnival enthusiast, Christine enjoys spending time with family and friends — and organising their lives! 

Lady Jane Guiyab – Nurse

Nurse Guiyab completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in the Philippines, working thereafter at the Philippine National Police Hospital in its Medical and Dialysis departments. Offered the opportunity to come and work in Trinidad and Tobago, she took up a post at the Port of Spain General Hospital. “LJ”, as we fondly call her, now works with us at Serpentine Road Family Care, where her warmth immediately puts patients at ease. She enjoys baking as a form of relaxation and loves to exercise by playing volleyball and doing Zumba. 

Patricia Milne – Nurse

Having obtained her qualifications in nursing and midwifery in England in 1976, Nurse Milne came back to Trinidad, where she worked at the Port of Spain General Hospital until 1980. She then spent 15 years with our national airline, followed by a 10-year stint at another medical practice. She joined the Serpentine Road Family Care team in 2005 and has been here ever since, making our patients feel safe and well looked after. Married with one daughter, she also takes care of her own heath with regular workouts and long walks with friends.  

Natalie Huggins Dickie – Receptionist

Natalie’s first job was as a receptionist and bartender at Trinidad’s iconic Pelican Inn in Cascade. It was the perfect introduction to customer service: she had to think on her feet and make quick decisions, always putting the client’s needs first.  It made such an impression on her that she continued to work in customer service for more than 15 years — and all you need is one interaction with Natalie to know she’s a natural at it. A real extrovert, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, playing Carnival, and travelling. In her downtime, she loves to read, draw, paint, and catch the occasional movie. 

Anna Lisa Forrest – Receptionist

Cheerful and eager to assist, Anna Lisa provides a solid support system for Serpentine Road Family Care’s doctors, nurses — and of course, our patients —thanks to her excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. This makes perfect sense when you realise she is both a qualified Montessori teacher and a certified phlebotomist. 

People-centred, she always goes above and beyond what’s expected in order to ensure that our patients are both comfortable and satisfied. She plans to pursue further accreditation in the medical field in order to qualify as either a nurse or a doctor’s assistant. She loves animals, cooking, dancing, and spending time outdoors. 

Dr. Robbie A. Rampersad – Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Rampersad graduated from medical school in 2007 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from The University of the West Indies. Two years later, after an internship at the Port of Spain General Hospital and a six-month stint in the Emergency Department at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC), he began his career in Radiology. 

During the course of his postgraduate training, he was inspired to develop the much-needed Interventional Radiology service at EWMSC. In 2015, he pursued a year-long Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Canada’s McGill University. Since then, he maintains membership with the Canadian Association of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology in the United States. He is also  an executive member of the Radiological Society of Trinidad and Tobago, and serves as a radiology consultant at EWMSC and an associate lecturer at The UWI’s Radiology Unit.

Dr. Gregory Eckel – Diagnostic Radiologist  

Recognised as one of the leading radiologists in California (USA), Dr. Eckel has extensive knowledge of Breast Imaging and is an integral part of our practice’s international network. He joined the faculty of the University of California (UCLA) in 2004, where he serves as an Associate Professor and Chief of Breast Imaging; he is also the Director of the Breast Diagnostic Center at Harbor-UCLA. A highly respected attending radiologist and educator, Dr. Eckel has trained over a hundred promising radiology residents and fellow physicians in breast, bone and abdominal radiology, as well as image-guided intervention. As a sought-after speaker and guest lecturer, Dr. Eckel has co-authored several publications and papers in Diagnostic Radiology. He currently serves as a reviewer for The Breast Journal.

Dr. Eckel began his career in medicine with a BA in Psychology (Hons.) from Boston University. He went on to study at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before graduating from Medical School at Boston University in 1998, completing his internship at Boston University and moving on to do his radiology residency at Emory University and at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Eckel completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Harbor-UCLA in 2006. He is an avid surfer with strong ties to Trinidad and Tobago, his place of birth.

Mrs. Neatcha Mark-Wallace – Mammographer  

Having been a radiographer for nearly 20 years, Neatcha specialises in mammography and computed tomography (CT). She is a graduate of The University of the West Indies (BSc Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Biology), The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, and the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST). She operates in the capacity of Chief Mammographer at Serpentine Road Family Care, with experience and interest in stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsies.

Ms. Rochelle Chedu – Radiology Coordinator   

Motivated and goal oriented, Rochelle has extensive experience working in the field of radiology. Hers is the voice you will most often hear when making appointments – she always strives to provide the most efficient support system possible, providing patients with the necessary guidelines and exam preparation instructions for the ultrasound and mammogram procedures, and issuing radiology reports in a timely manner to both patients and their referring physicians. 

With close to a decade of experience as a medical service coordinator already behind her, Rochelle’s exceptional customer service skills go a long way in making patients feel comfortable, relaxed and secure. 

A singer/songwriter, she is part of the band lmij & Company, which opened for

Tobago Jazz Festival 2016 headliners Ms. Lauryn Hill and Maxwell, and has written and recorded several songs with regional and international producers.

Darryl Ali-Bocas – EMT Paramedic

A paramedic for over 20 years, Darryl is also an HSE professional and logistics coordinator with a wealth of experience in the energy industry. He was part of BPTT’s tactical response team, where he administered advance medical care to ill and injured patients and oversaw a team of junior medics. As an emergency medical technician, he has also worked with EOG, NGC, Petrotrin, WELL Services Petroleum Company, and Repsol, where he was advanced paramedic lead for all medical emergencies. 

Since joining Serpentine Road Family Care, he has worked as an HSE field advisor/paramedic for Exxon Mobil/FUGRO, as well as an offshore paramedic and HSE tech for several other companies — including Shell — where he was  also logistics coordinator on its Hibiscus platform.

Darryl obtained his EMT paramedic certification with the New York Methodist Paramedic Programme. He is OSHA and NEBOSH certified, is a qualified helicopter landing officer, and has completed training in the Global Maritime Distress Safety System from the University of Trinidad and Tobago. He is listed on the International Emergency Medical Services Registry and the International Registry of EMT, has trained in advanced cardiac and pre-hospital trauma life support, BOSIET, EVOC, TFOET, defensive driving, PLEA, PTW, confined space rescue (including gas detection), risk assessment awareness, core compliance and more.  When not on the job, he enjoys fishing, swimming and music, and is a car enthusiast.

Ganesh Gangaram – EMT Paramedic

In 1999, Ganesh began his EMT training at The School of Emergency Health Services and has never looked back, increasing his accreditation to include areas like advanced cardiovascular life support, risk reduction and pre-hospital trauma life support. He has consistently upgraded his skills with regular certifications from the University of Technology (Jamaica) and the Emergency Educational Training Institute (Florida), and is a member of the International EMS Registry. 

Ganesh has had extensive experience working with a plethora of energy multinationals, including Repsol, BPTT, British Gas, BHP, EOG, Exxon Mobil, and Shell. 

In his spare time, he is an ardent sportsman, and particularly enjoys cricket and football.

Jerome Pierre – EMT Paramedic

Well qualified in his field, Jerome began his studies in 2000 at the Queen Elizabeth ll Health Sciences Centre’s School of Emergency Health Services in Canada. He continued his training at the The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and Creighton University in Nebraska, USA. 

In 2008, he joined the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a paramedic. Jerome is also a qualified AEMD, and is ACLS and PHTLS certified. 

His work experience includes postings on drilling rigs, operations and seismic vessels for oil and gas companies like BPTT, BGTT, and BHP. He has served as paramedic team leader and health administrator on many of these projects, and until 2014 was also an EMS instructor and skills facilitator at the Emergency Training Institute of Trinidad and Tobago. 

John Khan – EMT Paramedic

Starting his qualifications for basic life support training in 2002 with the American Heart Association, John earned his paramedic certification in 2005. He also holds the required certification in TBOSIET, OSHA, Critical Incident Stress Management, and Intervention and Peer Support.  

He was an anaesthetic technician for ten years before shifting his focus to the energy industry, where he has worked with companies like BPTT on both rigs and support vessels. 

John enjoys sports and is an accomplished woodworker.

Shawn Taitt – EMT Paramedic

Shawn started his basic EMT training in 2003 with the International Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. He quickly realised he had found his calling and pursued further qualifications, including ACLS, HLO, and OSHA certification. He is also qualified in BOSIET, HUET, EBS  and SOC training, as well as CCLCS. 

He has been actively working an an EMT for companies like BPTT and BHP since 2001, and has been with Serpentine Family Care full-time since 2017 where he has gained further fit-to-work and paramedic experience. Shawn is a basketball and volleyball fanatic and loves to travel. 

Sieudath Jokhu – HSE Advisor, EMT Paramedic

As Serpentine Road Family Care’s resident expert in Health, Safety and Environment, Sieudath has been involved in the energy industry since leaving secondary school. He began with a diploma in process plant operation, then —finding himself drawn to the safety/medical support side of the field — earned his paramedic qualifications. 

A true HSE professional, Sieudath strives towards continuous improvement. He holds NEBOSH diplomas in both Oil and Gas and Occupational Health and Safety, and is trained in BOSIET, blood borne pathogens, CPR, marine debris, and OSHA, among others. His work experience includes assignments as a rig medic, safety training coordinator, HSE advisor and paramedic for multinationals like Fugro and  Woodside Energy, and drilling outfits like Rowan, H&P and Nabors. 

He is a devoted cyclist and adores travelling. 

Wendell Aguillera – EMT Paramedic

Another highly trained member of our practice’s paramedic team, Wendell began his EMT certification process at the US Army Medical Department Center and School in Austin, Texas, where he got his Health Care Specialist diploma in 2002. That same year, he received his EMT basic training. By 2006, he was at an intermediate level and in 2008, he obtained his paramedic license from the Center for South Texas Programs, International Academy. 

Wendell has worked with a variety of energy sector companies, including Atlantic LNG, Rowan Drilling, and Delta Logistics, and is a football and karate enthusiast.
